5 Quick Tips To Living A Healthier Life

Do you want to be healthier? Do you know where you need to start? Here are some of the things I suggest to my clients when they come to me and want to live a healthier life.

1. Watch Your thoughts. Listen To The Words You Say To Yourself

The very first thing you need to look at is your thoughts. Your unconscious mind will rule your life if you let it. You need to train your unconscious mind as it will be a faithful servant to you when you become its master.

Your unconscious mind is being programmed all of the time and it was programmed at a very early age. Some of that programming needs an upgrade in the same way you need to upgrade your phone or computer, to make them work more effectively.

Once you are in a positive mindset, your body is moved into a more positive vibration and you attract the things you want, rather than the things you don’t want in to your live.

When you are in a more positive mindset and have changed your programming you will want to start looking after your body better.

2. You Need To LISTEN To Your Body

Your body ALWAYS has the answers. It tells you when you are hungry, thirsty, tired, happy, angry. When you learn to really listen it will tell you so much.

You store your emotions in your body at a cellular level and they sometimes get trapped in your body and if they are not dealt with cause dis-ease, or disease. It is vital for you, if you want to live a healthy life to work on these trapped emotions.

There are so many different types of holistic therapies out there that help to address this. You can work with mind, body and energy therapies to achieve these results. You can choose one or two that resonates with you most.

3. Eat A Balanced Diet & Drink More Water

We all know we need to eat adequate proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and fats and include five portions of fruit and vegetables a day and drink more water.

Water is such a basic requirement and so key to our survival, yet ninety percent of us don’t drink enough! 2 – 3 litres a day are recommended. We can live for several weeks without food but only a few days without water.

What many of us don’t realise is that food carry vibrations. The more raw foods, organics foods we eat, “real foods”, what I mean by that is unprocessed foods, the higher the vibration, the better we are.

We are all vibrational beings and what we put into our bodies, make a huge difference to our vibrational energy and our physical energy levels.

4. Take Time Out To Relax

Modern lifestyles can be hectic, mental exhaustion can cause stress, depression, anxiety disorders and lead to disease in the body. So many of my personal clients have or have had adrenal problems.

I have had in the past as well, and this problem wont get any better until we address our stress levels (and look at our body toxicity, but I won’t go into this right now, there is so much to look at and a naturopath is great for looking at the toxicity and hormone level and the work I do with my personal clients can help to reprogramme their stress response).

When we are stressed it throws our our hormonal system as well as others and had many side effects.

Relaxation is also very important to a healthy mind. You can choose to relax many ways – deep breathing is great as well as yoga, massage, having a bath, meditation or reading a book. If you cant switch off on your own, find a therapist you resonate with to help you.

Try to chill out for an hour a day if you can, fifteen minutes is better than none to start off with.

5. Get Moving!

Our bodies love to move. We are designed to keep moving but so many of us sit our bums all day and don’t move enough.

Exercise is AMAZING for getting rid of stress, bringing blood pressure down, releasing endorphins, help improves your mood, boosts our energy levels, helps us sleep better and it can be so much fun.

There is no excuse not to exercise because there is something for everyone. You don’t need to go to a gym for exercise, walking the dog or with friends out in nature gives great exercise.

Fun is a HUGE thing for me in my life, so I find something that I LOVE to do for exercise. I LOVE to dance (not so good it it but that is another story) . Be creative and have fun.
