Advantages of Wearing Contact Lenses

If you’re still on the fence about switching from glasses to contact lenses – welcome to the club, you’re definitely at the right place! We’re here to help you out, so keep on reading and learn about five great advantages of wearing contact lenses.

Just check them out and make your final decision!

They’re Fantastic For Active People

If you belong to a group of people who strive to be as physically active as possible, you should know that contact lenses are undoubtedly one of the best solutions for you.

Unlike glasses, they won’t move around when you move your head, which also means that you won’t have to worry about them falling off and breaking.

In fact, contacts are very difficult to break and are highly unlikely to escape from your eye socket – unless you rub your eyes too hard, in which case they may fall off.

As they’re less obstructive from glasses, contact lenses won’t interfere with safety gear like caps, helmets, and goggles, which is exactly what makes them great for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.

They Perfectly Conform To The Curvature Of Your Eye

In case you weren’t aware of that fact, contact lenses are designed to sit comfortably on the curvature of your eye and that means one important thing.

Basically, contacts provide a wider field of view and cause fewer vision obstructions and distortions than glasses, which will allow you to see clearer and focus with more success.

Do we even have to mention that contact lenses, contrary to glasses, won’t be affected by the weather conditions like rain and fog? Besides that, your contacts can’t be scratched, so you won’t have to spend more money buying a new pair which would be the case with glasses.

They Are Quite Comfortable To Wear

As contact lenses are made from different materials that can improve your visual health and comfort, we can freely say that they are more comfortable to wear than any pair of glasses.

For example, hybrid lenses have a hard centre that lets oxygen pass through, which will allow you to see much clearer. On the other hand, if your eyes are a bit more sensitive, you can always choose soft lenses that will reduce visual discomfort.

You should also know that contact lenses are available for almost anyone who needs vision correction – including those with astigmatism and people who require multi-focal lenses.

Of course, you should go for a contact lens fitting before you make a final decision in order for your optometrist to determine the correct size of the contact lenses, so make sure not to skip this step.

They Have Amazing Aesthetic Benefits, Too

Apart from the obvious benefits when it comes to your visual health, contact lenses have a few aesthetic benefits as well, which is exactly why a large number of people love to wear them.

The fact is that cosmetic contact lenses that come in different colours give you a chance to experiment with your looks and spice up your everyday combos. However, you must remember that contacts are still medical devices.

That’s why you shouldn’t forget to undergo an eye exam before you decide to wear them, so that your doctor can evaluate if they’re safe and give you a prescription.

They Make Your Life Much Easier

If you’re a complete novice when it comes to wearing contact lenses, but you’ve been wearing glasses for years before that, you’ll notice that everything is much easier with contacts.

Of course, it will take you some time to get used to them, but trust us when we say that you’ll absolutely adore them once you get used to them. First of all, it’s much easier to kiss with contacts, as they won’t spoil romantic moments as some bulky glasses would.

As already said, your contact lenses won’t fall out when you’re working out or running errands, which is a huge advantage that shouldn’t be overlooked. Just give them a try and you definitely won’t regret it!

As you can see, wearing contact lenses has a lot of amazing advantages, and these five are certainly the most important of them. If you ask us, it’s about time you switched from your glasses to contact lenses. Just make that happen and you’ll see a fabulous improvement!

  1. It’s nice that you talked about how contact lenses could provide a wider field of view and cause fewer vision obstructions and distortions compared to glasses. It looks like my vision has gotten bad over the years so now it has to be corrected. I think wearing glasses would obstruct my field of view while working, so I should probably opt for contact lenses instead.
