Water is among the most essential elements of life. Without exception, all forms of life that have ever existed have required water to survive. It comes as no surprise that we must drink water to live, but water can also help you better your life.

Today, Americans tend to take bottled water with them everywhere they go. In reality, it has risen to become a popular beverage like soft drinks. However, for decades, the bottled water sector has profited from people’s concerns about tap water.

While these concerns are mostly unfounded, and tap water is usually a much better option than bottled water, indeed, an under-sink water filter system could further enhance the quality of your tap water.

Here are five reasons why you should drink more clean water.

More Energy

If you’re getting tired, you could be tempted to reach for a Red Bull or cup of coffee, but a glass of water might be just as refreshing.

Since your brain is (literally) floating in the water, drinking more water will help keep it hydrated, fresh, and clean. This will improve your concentration and make you feel more energized.

You’ve already read all manner of statistics on how much water makes up our bodies. It is approximately 80 percent when we are born, but this falls to 55 percent in women and 60 percent in men.

Since all your muscles, organs, and various systems need water to operate, you must drink water daily.

According to a survey, 25% of kids do not drink sufficient water on a regular basis, with boys being 75% more dehydrated than females.

One of the key reasons for this is the increased consumption of soft drinks, which can hydrate the body but not as effectively or healthily as water.

Weight Loss

Dietitians have been drinking a lot of water as a weight-loss technique for years. Although water does not have any miraculous weight losing properties, substituting it for higher calorie drinks may be beneficial.

What helps with weight loss is to drink water instead of a caloric drink and/or consume a diet high in water-rich ingredients that are more filling, healthier, and help you cut calories.

Meals with high water content appear larger, take more chewing, and are consumed quite slowly by the body, thus making you feel full. Vegetables, fruits, broth-based soups, beans, and oatmeal are all high in water content.

Health Issues

Drinking insufficient water can result in a variety of health issues. The following are some of the more obvious signs that you should drink more water: dry skin, dry mouth, dry eyes, fatigue, joint pain, constipation, hunger, and brown/dark pee.

These are not solely symptoms of dehydration, but they can indicate that you really should drink more water, particularly if you are having multiple symptoms.


Waste materials are transported into and out of cells by body fluids. The main toxin in the body is blood urea; a water-soluble waste that goes into the kidneys and is excreted in the urine.

If you drink enough water, your kidneys will do an outstanding job of cleaning and removing body toxins.

When you are drinking enough water, urine flows freely, free of odor, and has a light color. When your body is dehydrated, urine concentration, odor, and color rise so the kidneys absorb excess moisture for bodily functions.

Water isn’t the most enticing drink on the planet, but it is often necessary to note that a glass of water is preferable to a cup of coffee. If you want to reap the above rewards of water, you must drink up.
